Busy, Busy!

It's been a busy couple of months, traveling and working and getting ready for Christmas! As such, I haven't really gotten to take many photos...

I did however get to venture out to Niagara Falls with my coworkers while up in Ontario, Canada! We left while it was still daylight however due to heavy traffic didn't make it until after nightfall. I only got a couple noteworthy pictures (posted below).

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and wishing you a wonderful new year in 2012!

Abbotsford and Vista

So this past week I was up in Washington for work and took some time off to enjoy the area and to drive up to B.C. and visit my friend in Abbotsford.

One morning when we woke up the rain had stopped to let the sun peek through. It was absolutely gorgeous - So naturally  I grabbed my camera, and in my pajamas I hurried outside to snap some photos.

I ♥ the Northwest!

In other news, here is a lovely sunset photo I took in Vista, CA on a drive a few weeks ago.

You know you're turning into a crazy photographer when you pull over to take photos from your car and have to make 5-point turns to get back on your path... haha! I love it! ;)

Bellingham is Beautiful.

Here is a small taste of the beautiful scenery in Bellingham, WA.
Once again it was proven that the beauty of God's creation could not wholly be captured inside a small metal box with mirrors and film (or in my case, digital sensors).

Here and There

I had the privilege of meeting some great photographers at an art co-op the other day. They were very encouraging when I showed them a few of my photos (I used my phone to show them the ones I'd uploaded on Facebook - Great tool!). They told me about how to join the co-op, and I was inspired to want to make framed prints of some of my photos and show/sell them at the co-op. !!! Exciting!!!

Here are some random cool shots I've taken in the past couple months. The spider was on my porch at home - Not my favorite welcome party but kinda cool looking nonetheless!

Denver and Beyond - Adventures in Colorado

I just returned from a 6 day business-related excursion in Denver, CO. At first I wasn't sure I was going to have many opportunities for good photography, but finally on Thursday I was able to get out and see the awesome nature that CO is famous for!

After working in Boulder all day, I drove up the mountains to Boulder Falls and out beyond the mountain town of Nederland. Golden splotches, seas of autumn-painted aspen trees poured over and through the mountain-scape...

The sun began to set just as I found a beautiful mountain lake...

I also perused the streets of Downtown Denver, CO and got a couple shots there in addition to my waterfalls, lakes and aspens. I'm so thankful it turned out to be a good photo adventure after all!

Hawaii 2011

Traveling for work, while sometimes a drag, really has its perks. For example, every so often I get to go to Hawaii! My friends have noted that I was not so fortunate as I was going to Waikiki (which is touristy), but hey, I'm going for free-- What do I care? ;)

Tuesday I stood around watching the awesome sets of waves roll in while snapping pictures of the sun as it began to and finally set. Aside from the last bit where I was unexpectedly given an impromptu bath by an abnormally large wave, it was a dry success!

Here are a few photos -

Swan Lake?

Last weekend I visited an old friend up in Orange County at her mom’s lake-front house. We shared a lovely BBQ meal and then cruised around the lake on the boat.

Besides seeing my friend, I especially enjoyed being on the boat (that went all of 10 mph though the man-made lake) - It was the first time I didn’t get sea sick on a boat!
